Improve fuel economy

Drastic increase in fuel consumption over 55 mph is to a great extent caused by resonating suspensions with out of balanced wheel assemblies. When Counteract Balancing Beads were installed in all the wheels of the truck fleet of one of our customers using approximately 100 eighteen-wheelers running line haul from Missouri to California, they measured an estimated fuel savings of $850,000 for one year. That’s a staggering 5.5%+ to 9% savings on fuel per truck!

 Increase tire life

Counteract Balancing Beads reduce rolling resistance which in turn reduces wear. When a tire and complete wheel assembly is properly balanced it also ensures a more even wear, all of which increases tire life. Increased tire life allows you to use the same tires longer, ultimately saving you money.

For example, one of our customers using Counteract Balancing Beads has reported an increase in steering tire tread life on cab over tractor of 50-60,000 miles and a recent controlled test returned a 37 to 44% increase in tread life.

Reduce vibration

Wheel assembly parts are manufactured with acceptable imperfections but assembling them together without balancing puts you at risk of suffering from constant vibration. 

Up and down vibrations felt through the steering tires are not isolated; they apply to every wheel of the vehicle whether it’s a bus, truck or trailer. This doesn’t just damage the tires it also jostles the driver, vehicle and cargo.  When this out of balance force hits the road, it has the same effect as slightly applying the brakes or hitting a pot hole hundreds of times per minute, increasing the rolling resistance of the entire vehicle and decreasing fuel economy.

Counteract Balancing Beads are so effective they actually balance the complete wheel assembly in all wheel positions on any vehicle over a half-tonne including both truck and trailer. Reduce maintenance costs

Heavy vibration for extended periods of time is one of the leading causes of wheel fasteners, maxi booster clamps, U-bolts and torque rod bolts eventually working themselves loose. It also causes cracking in frame rails and cross members, breaking of air brackets, door hinges, lights and more; that can add up to expensive repair and maintenance costs. An unbalanced wheel can also wear much faster than a properly balanced one; which equates to more money spent on replacing worn tires.

Counteract Balancing Beads also provide an alternative to costly wheel weight or balancing ring installation. wheel weights can work themselves free and don’t adjust with the wheel as its balance changes. Balancing rings are mounted on the outside of the tire, where they are susceptible to damage and deterioration. Counteract Balancing Beads last the life of the tire, are easier to install and don’t harm the environment like lead products do, saving you money and time as well as the environment.
