Speed and Balance
To achieve maximum results, it is important to use the proper package size for each tire. As a rule of thumb, the amount of Counteract required per tire is based on one ounce per thirteen pounds of tire. If you are not using an applicator and pouring the contents of the bag directly into the tire, it is imperative that none of the contents of the bag ends up on the bead seating area of the tire and rim. Counteract disclaims any responsibility for air loss or tire damage due to improper installation or air check. In order to reduce the possibility of valve leaks, the use of a Counteract valve core and a metal CBB valve cap is recommended and included in every bag of Counteract. Counteract is TPMS compatible.
Most ATV UTV will use only 1 oz in each tire
Really Big 26"-27" can go up to 2oz or
3oz in each tire if you have a very aggressive tread
War Wizzard Set Land Speed Record 92MPH
The science is revolutionary
The goal of balancing a wheel is to reduce its rolling resistance by decreasing tire sidewall flexing, tread squirming, and friction caused by reverberation. The benefits to accomplishing proper balance are greater fuel economy, longer tire life and reduced vibration—all of which result in great efficiency for your business or personal life.
The technology behind our balancing beads is protected by international patents and only available from Counteract Balancing Beads. It has turned the commercial trucking, transportation and recreational industries on their heads, worldwide. Made of a patented specially coated glass bead that will not breakdown or degrade, our balancing beads are placed directly into the tire where they are free to move and adjust to balance imperfections as they develop. Our balancing beads automatically balance the complete wheel assembly.
Counteract Balancing Beads were introduced to the transportation market over 14 years ago and are now manufactured and sold throughout the world. A proven and trouble-free product, our balancing beads provide continuous balance for the life of the tire. Furthermore, they are very clean to work with, contain no dust, and are one of the few environmentally friendly products that actually save you money.
Now, vehicles a half-tonne or larger have a simple and proven weapon against the unnecessary loses due to imbalanced wheels. Counteract Balancing Beads were designed to be installed easily by dropping a pre-measured package into the tire cavity before mounting or to be injected through the tire valve stem. And, because they were developed to allow anyone to install them, the costs associated with mounting and dismounting tires, not to mention balancing them the old fashioned way, are virtually eliminated.
Drastic increase in fuel consumption over 55 mph is to a great extent caused by resonating suspensions with out of balanced wheel assemblies. The longer the run is at highway speeds with balanced wheel assemblies the greater the fuel saving. See our Auburn University (PAVE) type ll SAE and TMC fuel test.
When Counteract Balancing Beads were installed in all the wheels of the truck fleet of one of our customers using approximately 100 eighteen-wheelers running line haul from Missouri to California, they measured an estimated fuel savings of $850,000 for one year. That’s a staggering 5.5%+ to 9% savings on fuel per truck!
Counteract Balancing Beads reduce rolling resistance which in turn reduces wear. When a tire and complete wheel assembly is properly balanced it also ensures a more even wear, all of which increases tire life. Increased tire life allows you to use the same tires longer, ultimately saving you money.
For example, one of our customers using Counteract Balancing Beads has reported an increase in steering tire tread life on cab over tractor of 50-60,000 miles and a recent controlled test returned a 37 to 44% increase in tread life.
Wheel assembly parts are manufactured with acceptable imperfections but assembling them together without balancing puts you at risk of suffering from constant vibration.
Up and down vibrations felt through the steering tires are not isolated; they apply to every wheel of the vehicle whether it’s a bus, truck or trailer. This doesn’t just damage the tires it also jostles the driver, vehicle and cargo. When this out of balance force hits the road, it has the same effect as slightly applying the brakes or hitting a pot hole hundreds of times per minute, increasing the rolling resistance of the entire vehicle and decreasing fuel economy.
Counteract Balancing Beads are so effective they actually balance the complete wheel assembly in all wheel positions on any vehicle over a half-tonne including both truck and trailer. Wheel assembly parts are manufactured with acceptable imperfections but assembling them together without balancing puts you at risk of suffering from constant vibration.
Heavy vibration for extended periods of time is one of the leading causes of wheel fasteners, maxi booster clamps, U-bolts and torque rod bolts eventually working themselves loose. It also causes cracking in frame rails and cross members, breaking of air brackets, door hinges, lights and more; that can add up to expensive repair and maintenance costs. An unbalanced wheel can also wear much faster than a properly balanced one; which equates to more money spent on replacing worn tires.
Counteract Balancing Beads also provide an alternative to costly wheel weight or balancing ring installation. wheel weights can work themselves free and don’t adjust with the wheel as its balance changes. Balancing rings are mounted on the outside of the tire, where they are susceptible to damage and deterioration. Counteract Balancing Beads last the life of the tire, are easier to install and don’t harm the environment like lead products do, saving you money and time as well as the environment.
Balance from truck to trailer
Whether it’s because of the heavier loads they carry or because they are manufactured so uniformly, it is a common misconception that rear wheel assemblies and tires on trailers don’t need balancing. If the rear wheel assemblies are slightly out of balance the result can be fuel wastage, uneven wear and unnecessary vibration to the truck, trailer, driver and cargo - as proven in two separate university tests & .
A mere six ounces of misbalance on an average sized trailer tire will multiply to 60 lbs at 60 mph and will further multiply when the suspension rebound frequency and the RPM of the wheel are at the same frequency. This vibration can be induced further after hitting a bump and will not cease until the vehicle slows or speeds up.
The overall effect is premature tire wear or cupping, increased rolling resistance, uncomfortable vibration and decreased fuel economy. Counteract Balancing Beads remove this problem by easily balancing all of the wheels on both the truck and trailer at a fraction of the cost of other systems.
